Dr. Khoury, faculty and administration of Brummana High School, good afternoon.

On behalf of the Parents’ Association, I would like to welcome you here today on this special  day, Teachers’ Day, so we may honor you – the hard working, patient and understanding people to whom we entrust our children.

Teachers’ Day not only offers us the opportunity to reflect on the importance of teaching, but also allows us to pay tribute to the contribution that so many committed and dedicated teachers have made to all our futures. On Teachers’ Day we celebrate the vital role that teachers play in motivating, inspiring and challenging young minds, and we remember that so many of society’s greatest accomplishments occur because a caring teacher once made a difference to a student.

Teachers, your hard work is felt and appreciated all year round and will stay in our children’s hearts and minds long after they have left school. You bestow upon your students the intellectual tools they need to become successful and productive members of society. You devote countless hours of selfless service to our most valuable resource – our children. Thus, it is with a deep sense of gratitude for your dedication, that we tell you how much we appreciate the care you give so freely - for your care is the vital element that nurtures the soul of the child. Dear teachers, you touch us with your humanity.

Today we would like to thank each and every one of you for putting your hearts into educating our children.

Before I end, I would like to remind you that we will be having our annual Mother’s Day Dinner at Dubai Hall, Metropolitan Palace Hotel, Sin El Fil, on Friday, March 26. We are counting on your joining us to help make this an enjoyable & successful event.
